Mark is a non-profit and start-up consultant with expertise in strategic planning, board governance, program evaluation, community engagement, and financial modeling. With a focus in healthcare, education, and criminal justice reform, Mark looks to work with organizations that combine creative solutions with a deep understanding of and relationship with the communities the organizations aim to serve.

Prior to beginning work as an independent consultant, Mark consulted for healthcare non-profits through the American Institutes for Research, specifically focused on consumer engagement, strategic planning, and financial modeling. While supporting a non-profit partnering with the City of Chicago’s problem solving courts, he created the city’s data collection tool, trained staff on its use, and developed easy to use metrics to help these programs continually improve their efficacy. Mark also has launched his own non-profit, JustMedicine, focused on reducing the price of generic pharmaceutical products. In this work, he has raised over $100k and has received over $1.5m in additional offered financing.

Mark’s clients and employers have included the American Institutes for Research, GovLab, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, John Marshall Law School, the Architecture Resource Center, Massachusetts Health Quality Partners, New Mexico Coalition for Healthcare Quality, and many others. He has developed and delivered training materials aimed at building non-profit board capacity, and has published several papers on healthcare policy.
